This small city is located 120 kms. away from Bariloche, has distinctive micro climate, propose a unique charm, magical and natural. Near there you have two farms to enjoy nature, very near to Rio Azul. Onda Azul and Rey Sol. Two great places and friends of Fun Patagonia. You can take the bus to go to Lago Puelo town, two blocks away from the hostel without going to the central bus station! A great 2-3 days “tour” far from noise and in a fantastic landscape. Try the home made food! In high season, it is better if you leave Bariloche early in the morning to make sure you gonna have place to stay.
The cheapest and safest way to do Carretera is with Martin´s Minibus. The trip starts in Bariloche and ends in Chalten. A six days travel visiting the greatest spots of the Chilean Carretera Austral. Forget about the driving and enjoy one of the best things you gonna do in the area! Avoid 36 hours buses and expensive car rents!
To go to Pucón you need at least 4 days. One day to go, other to return, and a few days there waiting for the good weather. Buses leaves Bariloche every day at 9 am. and 11 am. and cost near AR$100. Don´t forget to take your passport with you to buy the ticket, and do it in advance! The name of the company is Tas Choapa, and it´s located in the Bus Station.
The way from Bariloche to San Martin de los Andes. A must do (you need a car to really enjoy this!) if you have a couple of days. The idea is to drive the 400 km. and stop whenever you want, wherever you want. The first trip is from Bariloche to Villa La Angostura (90 kms. away). Then you keep going north to San Martin doing the  7 Lagos (Seven Lakes route). Try to get the car you rent near 1pm. so the next day you have enough time to come back without getting up early! A free kilometers car for four people, one day, cost near AR$200 pesos.
90 kms. away from the city is the Cerro Tronador, with 3554 metres of altitude. After a very beautiful trip by the side of the lakes and Rio Manso, you arrive to Pampa Linda, and have lunch. Then you can start doing the trekking to Saltillo of Nalcas, and later to the most impressive glacier in the area. The “Ventisquero Negro” (Black Glacier). The prices includes the transfer from-to the hostel, the english spoken trekking guide and the food and drinks. Cost  AR$150 + National Park AR$20.
